To Whom It May Concern:
On May 1, 2002 I installed a tuffcoated 2" boom valve part number 75437 serial number 8320 on 502B Air Tractor N60362.
The aircraft was flown 450 hours applying mixtures of corrosive and abrasive fungicides and foliar fertilizes on potatoes. The valve was removed, disassembled and inspected on October 1, 2002. The valve looked literally brand new inside. All of the black tuffcoating was still intact. The valve was reassembled and reinstalled on the aircraft with no maintenance needed and will be used next season. This is the first time in my 30 years of operating ag aircraft that a valve used in our potato operation has not been worn out in one season.
I would recommend that my fellow aerial applicators take a serious look at Agrinautics tuffcoated products.
